OPTICAL PAINTING
Optical Painting places perception, geometry and dimensionality under the constraints of the pictorial plane.
Rather than depicting space as a stable illusion, the series tests how line, contour, tonal transition and geometric order are cognitively translated into optical depth and spatial ambiguity through impossible figures, restrained colour schemes and stepped gradients.
